The Head Procurement Site Services helps execute the Procurement Tower category and supplier strategy in close alignment with senior business stakeholders, collaborates with the Cate-gory Management team in planning and steering the category initiatives and projects, manages supply and business risk, and influences critical strategic business decisions. Supplier relation-ship management, performance measurement, compliance and risk management and market knowledge in the service industry are essential for this role. The Head Procurement Site Services is accountable for the category spend at site level, realizes year-on-year productivity and cost savings opportunities, actively manages and challenges demand and implements process efficiencies in close collaboration with business stakeholders. This role requires leadership skills, strong business acumen and distinct communication skills with senior business stake-holders and top management.
Job Description
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, organizing, and managing strategic sourcing projects such as Maintenance and Repair Optimization projects. Asset Lifecycle Management for Production and Laboratory Equipment and several other initiatives in Services & Capex tower, overall service landscape optimization, utilities efficiency and ESG activities among other key programs in the Opex and Capex area
- Make sure category plans are fit for purpose for the sites, implementation is secured and performed in due time and escalations are managed and coordinated with the broader teams
- Develop business partnerships to co-create strategic multiyear plans, goal setting and target alignment to thrive supplier collaborations and achieve ambitious business objectives for the TechOps sites
- Coordinating and being the first of contact for procurement activities in alignment with TechOps Site team to set-up priorities and make sure strategies are effectively implemented
- Demand management
- Ensure the right balance between business needs, quality and cost objectives in line with the overall Sandoz strategy.
- Working with stakeholders to identify the most cost-effective ways to deliver business objectives.
- Building up strong and trustful relationships with key stakeholders. Be the go-to-partner for Procurement, Supplier and Market relevant questions.
- Understanding the stakeholders needs, landscape, challenges and objectives and demonstrating political astuteness across business structures and networks.
- Lead a global team of procurement professionals in the area of site services
Key performance indicators:
- Overall cost efficiencies (cost savings and efficiencies); -Process efficiencies and compliance with procurement policy
What you'll bring to the role:
- University/Advanced level degree needed.
- Master’s Degree/other advanced degree in the Economics, Finance or related areas is preferred.
- English (excellence in speaking and writing), additional languages desirable.
- >10 years of relevant business experience
- Preferably >10 years of experience in Procurement or other related experience within the pharmaceutical, FMCG, energy or automative industry, preferably in site and/or category management, supplier management, or related area, with a focus in the manufacturing site services domain.
- Business acumen and analytical thinker
- Strong collaboration, negotiation, coaching skills
- Strong project management or other leadership experience.
