Job Summary
To act as the primary coordinator in the branch for all operational and administrative activities i.e. therefore support the branch.
Job Description
Sales and Service - Time split 80%
· Proactively target and recruit clients,
· Satisfy clients ongoing financial planning needs identified by self or Account Executive through the sale of appropriate products and services
· Optimise portfolio potential in conjunction with Relationship Managers, planning/undertaking effective marketing campaigns
· Establish and develop sales opportunities to meet the clients needs
· Manage the client portfolio, making proactive contact on a regular basis and meeting clients at their convenience
· Generate leads and sales by building effective working relationships with branches within catchments areas, Corporate Sector etc.
· Generate referred business by encouraging existing clients to make recommendations
· Proactively implement the customer strategy in line with business customer initiatives to gain staff commitment to provide world class service
· Develop the overall Segment execution strategy and business plan for the relevant
· Segment that will establish the business unit as a centre of excellence for all segment
execution across Banking Markets.
· Translate the segments strategic objectives into tactical business plans that allow Segment Leaders to devise individual performance plans for their staff.
· Monitor alignment between marketing and sales support activities through prioritisation of the relevant Segment initiatives.
· Take full ownership for the relevant Segment performance as measured in the Income and Expenditure Statement and report on variances against budgets and targets in RAF and STP.
· Conduct in-depth investigations, where recurring deviation from Segment targets are
· prevalent and ensure that corrective and preventative measures are put in place.
· Develop and implement Segment client strategy, through research of best practices, to result in client retention and new client generation. This would facilitate the strategy of Segments to further penetrate the customer base.
Business Management - Time split 5%
· Ensure that targeted level of business results (i.e. income, costs, client satisfaction and client recruitment) for jobholder’s own portfolio are maintained
· Review portfolio on a regular basis recommending clients
· Adhere to standards, legal and regulatory, in accordance with the requirements
Staff Management - Time split 10%
· Implement and maintain a coaching and training programme for Relationship Managers including a regular review of selling and service performance
· Manage and motivate staff recognising outstanding performance
· Lead and direct staff to achieve business objectives
Risk and Governance - Time split 5%
· Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Absa Policies
and Policy Standards.
· Understand and manage risks and risk events (incidents) relevant to the role.
· Drive a culture of proactive compliance in the function.
Education
Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
