Functional (job responsibilities)

  • Responsible to ensure effective internal and external support of the operations and service delivery by managing relevant support team and involvement on projects.

  • Optimizing resources & implementing new task methodologies, processes, tools to continuously improve service effectiveness & efficiencies for concrete control and timely deliverable sustaining an excellent operational functionality and bank’s ultimate bottom line.
  • To propose and manage projects that delivery new capabilities in wealth management and banking services by way of technological solutions, team structures and customer profiles.
  • Review and keep relevant, the processes of products and services delivery to customers. Manage, update and put in place checks and balances to minimize and manage risk in existing processes.
  • To manage and resolve customer feedback, complaints, miss-selling allegations and representing RWM in dispute resolution proceedings.
  • To manage the first line control team and customer tagging team. 

Managerial (team/group responsibilities)

  • Manage and lead a team that is aligned to the business strategic priorities and work collaboratively with colleagues throughout the franchise.
  • Team leadership and management of team members, including effective team performance, talent management and succession planning.

Organizational (organizational responsibilities) including  Strategic Cost Management and Financial Goals

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of RWM strategic priorities.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership and teamwork to ensure that the needs of external stakeholders (e.g. customers, business partners, regulators, etc.) are understood and satisfied efficiently.

Education/Qualification

  • Degree holder, including a proven good track record of managing a team or implemented successful business strategies.
  • A postgraduate tertiary or a professional certification is a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in the Banking/Financial industry with minimum 5 years in a managerial position.
  • Experience in wealth operations covering trade conciliation, client on-boarding, capital market products, digital platform, funds and alternatives.
  • Day to day dealing in operations, regulatory compliance, and technology stakeholders

  • Leadership and organizational skills to oversee and streamline operations, lead and motivate team, and work with business partners.
  • Strategic planning and implementation to develop and execute operational strategies.
  • Financial and commercial acumen to manage budgets, control costs, and support business growth.
  • Project management to oversee various projects and initiatives.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate solutions and make decisions.
  • Risk management and mitigation to identify and address potential risks.
  • Strong knowledge of the Malaysia & Singapore regulations and policies.
  • Strong relationship with the local regulatory bodies of both countries.
