About the Position
We have an excellent opportunity available for an expert Supply Chain and Operations professional to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. The Head of Physical Distribution lies within the UKI Supply Chain Leadership team, responsible for UK and Ireland. You'll be working in a high performing team, alongside peers always trying to reach the next level. You'll be reporting into Head of S&OP & Logistics UKI. Get ready for a lot of exposure to internal senior business partners.
The delivery of excellent customer service at a competitive cost is your primary objective. This includes establishing industry benchmark customer service, developing partnerships with our Logistics Providers and our Warehouses, focusing on supplier service levels, on shelf availability, and operating cost to support the company's overall targets. You're constantly looking for continuous improvement activities within the interface between our 3PL & 4PL partners, Global Excellence team and internal teams across the Business Unit.
In brief, you will be responsible for;
- Relationship management for 3PL, 4PL and Global Business Solutions Partner
- Creating a one-team mentality with our 3PL and 4PL & across almost 400 employees
- Identifying new insights for the overall logistic value chain; optimizing existing processes and support activities across the region
- Inbound and outbound transport performance
- Ownership of logistics critical metrics
- Building strong relationships with other functions in the business, driving a collaboration mentality
- Support for Export performance, process, communication and metrics
- The delivery of the Control tower project across Europe, representing UKI logistics
- Stock control and management of finished product across site
- Annual site audits (e.g. soil association, local environmental, internal audit)
- Improvement of logistics processes vs the Logistics Operating Standards
- Ownership of the logistics budget for Northern Europe
- Partnership with the Strategic Projects manager, to deliver major CAPEX investments, ensuring that logistics can deliver the 10-year business plan
- Ownership of the Logistics IBP process
- Partnership with the digital team, actively contributing to the digital transformation journey
Qualifications
- Prior experience in Logistics preferred
- Strong analytical skills
- Engaging and collaborative Leadership skills
- Strong understanding of the value chain and customer service
- Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent preferred
