Key Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance on the legal implications of Prudential Thailand’s strategy and execution and legal risks of business operations and ensure compliance with corporate regulatory matters.
• Review agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure Prudential Thailand’s legal rights are protected.
• Prepare quarterly Board meeting agendas, Board papers pertaining to governance matters and meeting minutes and upload Board and committee papers on Diligent.
• Undertake the company secretarial and records management function.
• Develop and maintain governance policies.
• Where appropriate, manage litigation including insurance related claims, contractual disputes and employment issues, in conjunction with external advisers if required.
• Maintain a constructive relationship with the company’s regulator(s), managing regulatory inspection visits, etc.

Qualifications:

• Experience as a corporate or commercial lawyer in a major law firm and/or commercial in-house environment, with at least 10 years’ experience in Senior Management
• Experience in Life insurance is beneficial but not essential to performing this role
• Company secretarial and legal –knowledge in meeting procedures, creating and setting agendas, preparing governance papers and drafting minutes
• Ability to build effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders – both internally and externally
• Strong commercial and business acumen
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively on legal matters applying a commercial perspective
