Purpose of the Position
The Head of Learning & Development will work closely with the HR Senior Leadership Team to manage delivery of the Global L&D strategy. They will need to work with key stakeholders within the business to understand the organisation’s strategy and future requirements/capability needs to successfully implement a holistic centralised training & development program.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Learning & Development Academy
- Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy that aligns with the organization’s business objectives.
- develop a centralised suite of globally applicable courses that address career development (career pathways) including technical skills and soft skills.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, team heads and HR leadership to design and deliver Management & Leadership Development programmes globally, which address organisational needs, identify gaps in organisational capability using capability assessments and position Pantheon as a ‘Learning Organisation’. Travel to international offices required.
- Identify development programs/projects specifically for High Potential/High Performing employees.
- Partner with Senior HR Leadership to develop and launch the Leadership journey.
- Raise the profile and branding of the L&D strategy, working with the internal marketing team to create engaging content which drives interest and uptake of Pantheon’s L&D offerings and specifically increases utilisation of the E-learning platform, Go1.
- Embed a culture of continuous learning within all functions.
- Work with key stakeholders to address succession plan learning/development gaps for each function.
Training
- Be the operational lead and coordinator for internal and external training acting as the point of contact for stakeholders at all levels globally.
- Design and manage training processes ensuring all training activity is tracked and recorded.
- Launch internal and global ‘lunch and learns’ which focus on sharing core business initiatives.
- Assist the HR team by providing training analytics and ad hoc data as required.
- Implement metrics and evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness and impact of training programs.
Coaching
- Provide 1:1 programmatic coaching at VP – Principal level for Pantheon staff members with identified coaching needs.
Partnerships & Budget
- Manage vendor relationships: identifying the value proposition of current vendors and securing/onboarding new vendors to ensure high-quality training resources aligned with business objectives.
- Manage and improve engagement with the E-learning platform Go1.
- Manage annual L&D spend ensuring efficient use of resources within approved budget.
Knowledge and Experience:
- A qualified Coach with experience delivering internal focused coaching at mid-senior level staff.
- A great passion for Learning and Development; ideally with Financial Services industry experience.
- Experience designing and delivering Management and Development Programmes and other training needs
- Excellent communication skills and an outstanding relationship builder.
- High energy results oriented individual with ability to drive positive change.
- Able to influence and effectively managing stakeholders at all levels.
- Outstanding project management skills, able to provide structure and clarity.
- A resilient, confident, and resourceful individual, who is proactive and tenacious.
- An candid and direct communication style, able to address challenging issues with diplomacy and tact.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Confident presentation and facilitation skills, able to flex style to different audiences as appropriate
- Enthusiasm for innovation and commitment to staying informed on the latest advancements in learning technology and training methods.
