Job Description

We are currently looking for a new colleague to lead Integrations Engineering Team of the Ignitis Group shared service center.

Integrations Engineering Team develops Integration Platform and integrations for 40+ internal systems. Java technical stack, distributed and highly available system of ~100 microservices, messaging with Apache Pulsar. If that speaks to you, we’d be happy to welcome you to our team!

You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:

  • Managing, leading, and inspiring a cross-functional team (7-12 FTEs);
  • Owning and evolving the strategy for the Integration Platform, creating an ambitious roadmap to fulfill mission-critical projects, addressing business needs, and maintaining technical health;
  • Performing effective people management, including hiring, goal setting, conducting one-to-ones, providing performance reviews, coaching, and supporting career development;
  • Collaborating closely and practicing servant leadership with all stakeholders across various departments to understand their needs, aligning and planning integration deliveries across 20-30 systems or projects;
  • Resolving conflicts and removing obstacles professionally;
  • Facilitating internal communication and fostering effective collaboration.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience managing a team (5-12 direct reports) of IT development-related specialists;
  • 5+ years of strong technical background working in software engineering roles, preferably with integrations, API development, and messaging;
  • Strong communication, excellent organization, negotiation, and time management skills;
  • Strategic thinking, creativity, and leadership qualities with the ability to manage large volumes of information simultaneously;
  • Ability to balance short-term and long-term goals;
  • Independent self-learner with exceptional problem-solving and decision-making mindset and skills to identify, create, and improve work processes;
  • Experience with task management tools (e.g., Jira and similar).

Would be an advantage:

  • Advanced experience of Agile IT delivery management frameworks, tools e.g.: Kanban, Scrum or other;
  • Technical leadership experience developing distributed and highly available systems or solutions;
  • Previous experience working with Integration platforms or leading integrations implementations;
  • Previous experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Grafana, Prometheus, and GitLab CI/CD.
