About the Role

The Northern & Central Europe (NCE) cluster at Ipsen is a significant and strategic organisation, spanning direct operations in 9 countries as well as indirect presence in 5 more. The Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, NCE holds a leadership role, guiding and overall planning and analytics for NCE Region, including budget, forecast, long range business plans, financial support for strategic plan, business case preparation, scenario analysis and investment appraisal.

Financial Planning and Business Partnering

• Provide analytical insights, finance partnership and decision support for driving performance to achieve strategic and financial objectives
  • Lead and manage overall planning and analytics for NCE Region – Budgets, Forecasting, Long Range Planning
• Identify and implement KPI(s), performance management tools to measure and track business performance in the Region
  • Provide guidance and direction to countries and functions on overall financial targets and ensure alignment and proper plans exist for execution
• Support NCE Commercial leaders to formulate financial strategy to grow revenue and enhance profitability in line with delivering financial goals for NCE Region
  • Propose and drive cost optimization initiatives to businesses/functions

• Collaborate with Market Access function on pricing strategy and price setting, provide financial analysis to ensure NCE price setting at optimal level
  • Provide analysis for price setting, new launches, change of business model
• Drive for strong collaboration within NCE finance team – provide coaching on FP&A related deliverables, business analysis, scenario planning and simulations

Business Performance reporting

• Coordinate and provide qualitative commentaries for monthly reporting as well as business reviews (Sales, P&L, HC etc)
• Evaluate financial performance – comparing and analysing actual results with plans and forecast

Education / Certifications:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, MBA or related professional qualifications (eg ACCA, CA, CPA)

Experience:

• Deep experience in FP&A and business partnership, pro-active, action and solution oriented
  • Excellent data reporting and analysis skills
  • Excellent strategic planning and organizing skills, with attention to details
  • Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills
• Strong financial acumen and commercial business sense to influence, drive decisions and lead discussion utilizing data
  • Good working knowledge on SAP, BPC, TM1, strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Advanced Excel knowledge, computing skills and working knowledge of financial reporting packages
• Experience in working cross-functional teams, cross-cultural environment, across several geographic areas preferred
• Proven track record with process improvements, automation and system implementation
• Experience in Pharmaceutical industry is preferred
• Regional exposure is a must
