We are currently looking for a Head of Finance CSL Vifor Commercial Organization. In this senior finance role, you will be responsible for supporting all financial aspects of the affiliates, regions, and central functions (Marketing, Medical and Market Access) in the CSL Vifor Commercial Organization. This includes working on key operational projects and coordination of the planning process, timely and accurate monthly reporting, and resolution of ad hoc issues as they arise. With multiple relationships internally and externally, this is a complex role requiring professional excellence combined with strong interpersonal and communication skills, people and project management abilities.
You will be directly reporting to the Head of CSL Vifor Finance and acting as primary business partner to the Head of CSL Vifor Commercial. In this position you will be leading the CSL Vifor Commercial Finance teams to provide support and analysis of financial and commercial matters to the Finance and Commercial Organization.
Key Tasks

Business Partner of the Head of CSL Vifor Commercial Head, delivering finance insight and recommendation on strategical, organizational and operational aspects, business case development and financial modelling

Leads the commercial finance team worldwide, owns together with the team all tasks around accounting, operational controlling, financial planning and analysis, acts as interface between global finance and local finance and ensures local compliance to global standards

Leads the global planning cycle of the CSL Vifor Commercial Organisation, long-term, mid-term, forecast, rolling forecast, lead of monthly performance review and ad-hoc analysis

Close collaboration with CSL Vifor brand teams to optimize performance of products in local markets, launch forecasting and brand performance reviews.

Define Commercial finance strategy and business partnering activities in collaboration with the CSL Vifor Head of Finance to achieve business objectives.

Provide financial guidance, advice, and decision support to Commercial Functions and leaders, including recurring business reviews.

Collaborate with CSL Vifor’s international commercial leadership to provide financial insights and help develop business strategies.

Be a trusted financial advisor to the International Regional ComOps team, understanding their goals, challenges, and opportunities.

Analyze alternate financial plans to support our goals and provide sound financial decision-making.
Financial Planning & Analysis:

Lead the development of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial models in close collaboration with other finance functions.

Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, providing actionable recommendations to enhance financial performance.
Strategic Decision Support:

Provide financial guidance and analysis to support in strategic decision-making, including market entry, product launches, pricing strategies, product and resource allocations, and expansion plans within the region in collaboration with the CSL Vifor matrix teams.

Work with other departments (CEA, Tax, etc.) to understand the financial implications of changes in public policy (e.g., healthcare reform) on the business.

Participate in business development activities.

Advise on alternate financial plans and the potential impact of current and future laws and regulations
Financial Controls and Risk Management:

Maintain financial controls and risk management practices to safeguard the integrity of financial data, based on the Global Financial Control Framework and Risk Management.

Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with International Commercial Operations
Projects, Processes & Technology and Operational Excellence:

Work with the business and CSLV Finance to ensure business process excellence to identify needs in information analysis, business systems, and decision-making support.

Participate in regional, global functional, and cross-functional process and technology projects that improve productivity and deliver operational excellence.
Leadership and Team Development:

As a member of Vifor’s Commercial Leadership Team (CLT) and Finance Leadership Team(CSL Vifor FLT), bring enhancements to the Finance Strategy and have shared ownership for Global Finance team development initiatives.

Provide guidance, leadership, and supervision of staff, including performance management and talent/career development.

Manage and influence without formal authority in a matrixed environment.

Cultivate talent and take proactive steps to secure future talent, ensuring a pipeline for the ‘One CSL’ teams.
Your Profile
The knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of this position are typically acquired through the following combination of education, experience and knowledge, or the equivalent.

University degree or equivalent in accounting and/or controlling, CPA or equivalent

10 years of experience in a senior finance role
-
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry

Experience with financial systems, processes and controls in publicly traded companies

Experience with the accounting and financial reporting requirements of matrix organizations
-
Experienced team leader with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Strong IFRS knowledge

Significant Financial planning and analysis experience

Sound commercial awareness

Ability to analyse, understand, and summarize complex commercial and financial topics

Excellent organizational skills

Ability to travel

Language skills: English spoken and written, German or French or Spanish desirable
