We’re looking for a strategic, people-oriented leader to drive the evolution of 3 of our service fulfillment product teams.
As Forto's Head of Engineering for Co-Pilot and PAW, your main tasks will include:
- Technical Leadership: Drive the architectural decision-making and strategy for some of our key service fulfillment teams, including our critical AI projects.
- Operational Excellence: Ensuring the continuous improvement of our products, tracking metrics, and ensuring that we continue to enhance our performance, maintainability and scalability
- Mentorship and Development: Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing engineering team to tackle complex logistics challenges. Foster a collaborative and innovative culture, encouraging continuous learning and improvement across the team.
- Team Development: Guide and support skilled engineering teams to foster unity and empower each member to deliver significant results.
- Collaboration: Engage with tech leaders and stakeholders to ensure our technical strategies support broader business objectives and are cohesive across the tech organization

- Technical leadership: Ability to set technical goals to show the business impact they deliver. Extensive experience balancing risk, quality and delivery and partnering with Product to build best in class technical solutions.
- People Leadership: Proven record in managing technical teams and fostering employees' professional growth.
- Strategic Vision: Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop long-term technology roadmaps that align with business goals. Proven experience leveraging emerging technologies and market trends to shape competitive technical solutions.
- Technical Proficiency: Solid experience in architecture and technical design, expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern software development practices (e.g., CI/CD, microservices architecture, DevOps).
- Communication Skills: Ability to work with the business and leadership side to create an understanding of what the team is doing and how this impacts the overall business.
- Excellent English skills, both spoken and written.
- The ability to work in an agile, multi-national, distributed organization
What You Bring
- At least 8 years of Engineering experience and 4 years of Engineering Management experience.. Experience as a Head Of is a great plus.
- Ability to attract, hire, and coach world-class engineers. You can uplevel existing teams by hiring top-notch senior talent, growing leaders, and helping struggling members. You can gain the trust of the team and guide their careers.
- You navigate and lead multiple teams through challenging situations.
- You enjoy building an agile and blameless culture.
- You like to iterate on problems instead of making and syncing big plans upfront.
- You know how to drive a cross-functional change.
- You have a solid understanding of cloud and platform technologies.
