In this senior leadership role, you will be strategic and highly impactful for CRC growth, with a focus on overseeing data management, governance, analytics, and strategy to drive business value. This leader will perform a key role in driving continuous improvement in analytics processes and methodologies for executive leadership. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a blend of data delivery and insurance expertise with the ability to drive innovation through data.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.  Specific activities may change from time to time. 

  • Strategic Leadership:  Develop and implement a comprehensive data analytics strategy aligned with business objectives.  Shape and execute a vision for leveraging data as a strategic asset to enhance operational efficiency, improve customer experience and achieve business goals.  Act as a strategic advisor to the executive leadership team on data-driven decision making.
  • Collaboration: Partner with IT, business units, and external stakeholders to align data initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Analytics Strategy: Lead and drive the development of enterprise-wide analytics to uncover actionable insights, example increase broker productivity and sales performance by providing high quality data insights, unstructured data extractions, etc.
  • Data Operations: Lead to ensure efficient data collection, storage, and access mechanisms within Azure Data Fabric, SSIS, and reporting tools such as SSR and Power BI.
  • Technology Innovation: Identify emerging data technologies and trends to maintain competitive advantage with cost optimization.
  • Data Infrastructure and Governance: Oversee the design and implementation of robust data infrastructure.  Establish policies and frameworks for data integrity, security, and privacy.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Lead to ensure all data practices comply with relevant laws and standards such as NYDFS, CCPA, NIAC Model Law, CFIUS, etc.
  • Lead and guide to distributed team of data and analytics professionals.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in data management, analytics, or business intelligence, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Preferred certifications in data governance, analytics, or related fields, such as CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) or DAMA certifications.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

  • Proven success in developing and executing data strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Experience with data governance frameworks and compliance regulations (e.g., NYDFS, CCPA, NIAC Model Law, CIFIUS, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with modern data technologies (e.g., Azure Cloud, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Fabric, OpenAI, AI/ML tools).
  • Strong background in data quality, data architecture, and data security.
  • Ability to define and lead the enterprise data vision and strategy.
  • Expertise in data management tools, cloud computing, AI, and machine learning.
  • Familiarity with advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and data visualization platforms.
  • Strong ability to use data insights to drive business decisions and create competitive advantages.
  • Skilled in building business cases for data initiatives.
  • Proven team leadership experience, with skills in mentoring and fostering collaboration.
  • Ability to effectively communicate data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders and C-suite executives.
  • Innovative approach to solving complex business challenges using data.
  • Passion for using data to transform decision-making and business outcomes.
  • Define, operate and evolve the data organization
  • Ability to travel as need
