You may have noticed that our headquarters are in Boise, ID, but our workforce is fully remote in the following states: Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Wisconsin. All team-wide meetings are scheduled to be inclusive of U.S. time zones.


In this role, you will oversee the individuals and operations for the team that creates hundreds of daily deals 365 days per year. You’ll lead internal team processes and represent the content department in meetings with other department heads. You’ll share responsibility for the success of almost every revenue stream at the company given that almost all revenue flows through content.

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a large (30+ person) content team. Build success ladders that ensure there are multiple layers of capable leaders.
  • Build processes to optimize workflows, ensuring efficiency, clarity, and rapid delivery of content across channels.

Strategic Operations:

  • Manage the leaders who oversee day-to-day operations of the content team, ensuring output meets the highest quality standards and aligns with business priorities.
  • Leverage operational expertise to identify inefficiencies, implement improvements, and scale content production capabilities.

Affiliate & Monetization Expertise:

  • Oversee the content team leaders who are responsible for growing the affiliate revenue channel which includes both commissions and CPA structures. 
  • Collaborate with sales and partnerships teams to align on process for delivering great results for flat fee and commission partners.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Marketing: Oversee content merchandising and decision-making for all daily marketing channel programming.
  • Sales: Oversee delivery of all flat fee partner campaigns. 
  • Product and Tech: Work closely with product and technology teams to ensure the content management system (CMS) supports content strategy needs, site functionality, and user experience. Learn the ‘content stack’. Deep knowledge of site taxonomy, page structure, and Contentful CMS is demanded in this role in order to represent content in meetings with product, marketing, and tech.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Work with data-minded leaders to ensure decisions are supported by insights.
  • Steward and expand key performance metrics for each team. Oversee the reports, dashboards, and processes that ensure the teams know how to make decisions every day. Continuously monitor traffic, engagement, conversion, and revenue to identify areas of opportunity.
  • Utilize our business intelligence data platform, Looker as well as supplementary organizational tools: Google Sheets, online whiteboards, etc to inform and communicate content strategy, track performance and allocate resources.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven success managing and scaling fast-moving, reactive, high-performing teams in a digital content environment.
  • Affiliate Expertise: Deep understanding of and established relationships within the affiliate marketing industry. Demonstrated success in growing affiliate revenue channels and optimizing commission structures and cost-per-acquisition (CPA) strategies.
  • Operational Excellence: Demonstrated ability to optimize workflows, improve processes, and maximize team output in a complex organization.
  • Talent Development: At least 10 years of experience in managing and leading content teams, with a proven track record of developing talent and achieving organizational goals.
  • Cross-Functional Skills: Experience collaborating across Marketing, Sales, Product, and Analytics teams to drive business outcomes.
  • Analytical Skills: In-depth experience using data analytics to inform content strategy and decisions, with experience in setting and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for content teams.
  • Digital Publishing Background: Experience working in a fast-paced, relentless digital content environment.
  • Strategic Vision: Strong ability to set long-term content strategies while maintaining focus on day-to-day execution

Physical Requirements:
