Position Summary
The role sits within the ETO Category Management team which is responsible for designing, coordinating, communicating, driving and evaluating the strategies and action plans for the European MX business to achieve its regional targets
Role and Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities
-
The Head of Category Management – ECO will lead the 4 ECO categories: Tablet, PC, Mobile Enhancement and Accessories

Responsible for the creation & implementation of the European ECO Category strategy and management of the full product lifecycle

Drive strategic directions and results
-
Review and analyse key performance indicators
-
Develop short-term tactics and long-term strategy
-
Evaluate promotional activities within subsidiaries, sharing best practise(s) where appropriate
-
Understand and handle the sales & profit indicators in association with Category Director/ VP
-
Recommend actions and influence Subsidiaries through actionable insights
-
Deliver Operational perfection
-
Set cadence for outstanding Go-To-Market operation
-
Optimise process, measuring/ reporting progress against key objectives
-
Coordinate product launches among European Subsidiaries
-
Collaborate closely with Smartphone category to maximise alignment and value proposition to consumers
-
Handle conflicting priorities cross-functions
-
Be the expert in market insight
-
Provide an outlook on the market and trends
-
Quantify market sizing and opportunities for new products
-
Market research and competitor sensing
-
Be the Voice of consumer to support Eco Category growth
-
Working close with the European Consumer and Market Insights team to evaluate consumer segments and propositions
-
Identify the key factors that form the optimal consumer journey for Eco Category
-
Handle the Eco Category as the ‘Go-to’ product expert and impact device ranging and portfolio strategy
-
Set and handle European pricing activity
-
Plan marketing activities to impact Eco Category

Provide clarity on strategy, team purpose & value and define the key areas of focus and direction.

Support the development of your team through regular mentoring, coaching and feedback, 1:1s and on the job learning opportunities.

Role model inclusion for your team to build trust and psychological safety.

Ensure communication with your team is a core focus area including cascade of information from LT’s and relevant business updates.

Handle the on boarding, off boarding process and the entirety of the colleague lifecycle process for all team members.

Handle all annual people management cycles such as goal setting, evaluation and salary reviews to a high quality and in a timely manner.

To be accountable for ensuring your team are aligned with company processes and procedures; such as compliance, meeting required business cyclical deadlines, and understanding the what we value.
