The Financial Crime Compliance team within Compliance is responsible for the Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Sanctions, and Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC) and Fraud programs.SummaryThe Head of ABCF is responsible for ensuring that the ABC and Fraud programs are designed effectively to meet all U.S. and Japanese legal and regulatory obligations. To achieve success this person will partner closely with stakeholders from, such as AML, Gifts & Entertainment, Human Resources, Operations, and Third-Party Risk Management, and the businesses.Responsibilities
- Identify all applicable legal and regulatory obligations from the U.S and policy requirements from Head Office in Japan
- Develop and maintain policies that capture all of the applicable obligations and requirements
- Review and approve procedures from control owners to ensure they effectively operationalize the policies
- Oversee the execution of ABC and Fraud controls (metrics, internal and external identified issues
- Provide proactive advice and support to 1st and 2nd line of defence partners on the policy, risks, and control expectations
- Liaise with Head Office regarding the communication of any issues in the ABC and Fraud programs
- Partner with Central Compliance to produce and deliver training and to execute the annual risk assessment
- Support and oversee the Canada, Mexico, and Brazil Compliance teams
Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience in Compliance with a focus on ABC and Fraud
- Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree desired
- Strong knowledge of the legal and regulatory obligations applicable to ABC and Fraud
- Excellent writing, communication, analytical, judgment and research skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
- Ability to communicate complex topics to audiences in a simple and easy-to-understand manner
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and listen
The expected base salary ranges from $225,000.00 - $275,000.00. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
