  • Identify all applicable legal and regulatory obligations from the U.S and policy requirements from Head Office in Japan
  • Develop and maintain policies that capture all of the applicable obligations and requirements
  • Review and approve procedures from control owners to ensure they effectively operationalize the policies
  • Oversee the execution of ABC and Fraud controls (metrics, internal and external identified issues
  • Provide proactive advice and support to 1st and 2nd line of defence partners on the policy, risks, and control expectations
  • Liaise with Head Office regarding the communication of any issues in the ABC and Fraud programs
  • Partner with Central Compliance to produce and deliver training and to execute the annual risk assessment
  • Support and oversee the Canada, Mexico, and Brazil Compliance teams

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in Compliance with a focus on ABC and Fraud
  • Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree desired
  • Strong knowledge of the legal and regulatory obligations applicable to ABC and Fraud
  • Excellent writing, communication, analytical, judgment and research skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
  • Ability to communicate complex topics to audiences in a simple and easy-to-understand manner
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and listen

The expected base salary ranges from $225,000.00 - $275,000.00. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
