Job Purpose:
The Group Lead, Competitive Intelligence will lead competitive intelligence team responsible for gathering and analyzing market and competitor data, to provide critical insights to Sandoz business units to support strategic business decisions. As a part of a young and growing unit, the role requires exploring avenues for innovation and implementing solutions that bring speed and scalability in gathering and disseminating relevant intelligence across the organization. This is a team management role with an expected span of control of 20+ associates.
Job Description
Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Provide leadership to the CI teams supporting different stakeholder groups, ensuring co-ordinated efforts and effectively connecting the dots

Fuelling the organization with competitive intelligence with implications for the company, therapy areas and portfolio, presenting in a clear and concise manner

Identify and deliver ad-hoc deep-dives on topics that will be of interest for the stakeholder units based on an understanding of the organizational objectives

Critically evaluate the current methodologies of gathering, analysing and disseminating CI and explore areas of innovation and improvement

Drive structure and efficiencies in how we generate and disseminate competitive intelligence in Sandoz moving away from fragmented, duplicative deliveries to unified outputs

Identify, train and grow talent within the team

Work along with CI team leads in ensuring timely monitoring, analysis, and communication of relevant CI

Provide guidance to the team in generating high quality, timely CI insights with implications

Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in CI
Skills and Competencies:
-
In-depth knowledge of the industry, including market dynamics, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.

In-depth understanding of CI databases and tools such as, but not limited to, IPD Analytics, Cortellis, Alphasense and Evaluate pharma

Innovative and continuous improvement mindset

Strong team management and project management skills, especially with critical and time-sensitive deliverables

Ability to manage multiple projects and senior stakeholders simultaneously, and effectively prioritize to meet critical deadlines

Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills
What you’ll bring to the role:

Educational Background:

Advanced degree in areas such as Management / Life Sciences / Biotechnology and related fields
Languages:

Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
-
12+ years of relevant experience in competitive intelligence at a leading pharma or consulting organization (experience in generic pharma industry will be a plus)
