Team mission

Our Group Reporting team is dedicated to delivering high-quality financial information to internal and external stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making. As Group Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to excellence in financial reporting and compliance.

You will:

• Accurately prepare and consolidate the Group financials  in accordance with IFRS and German GAAP, serving as the primary point of contact for Group month-end-close topics with internal stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement of the Group month-end close processes and control environment, focusing on automation and standardization to ensure effective and efficient system utilization.
• Lead the coordination of stakeholders for the capitalization of internally generated intangibles, ensuring precise measurement, amortization, and impairment.
• Financial Reporting: contribute to interim and annual financial statements, providing timely and accurate Group reconciliations and analytical expertise.

Who you are

• Educational Foundation: preferably hold a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA) or an equivalent master's degree
• Financial Experience: A minimum of 5 years in the finance department of a large company, ideally within the e-commerce sector.
• Regulatory Know-How: Strong knowledge of IFRS, familiarity with accounting for intangible assets and German GAAP is advantageous.
• Analytical skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, preferably with experience in PowerBI and SQL for data management and querying. 
• Language Prowess: Excellent English skills are a must, and German language skills are a valuable asset.
• Systems knowledge: Proficiency using SAP or other large ERP system, experience with a consolidation system is advantageous. 
• Work Ethic: Be an independent and structured worker while embracing teamwork and displaying reliable time management.
