Job Summary of the Graphic Designer
The Graphic Designer reports to the Sr. Brand and Creative Content Strategy Manager and will support internal and external marketing efforts by developing and executing compelling, contemporary visual representation of the Axogen brand across a range of digital and traditional marketing channels. This position will work with the Sr. Brand and Creative Content Strategy Manager and Market Development Directors to concept and deliver clean and captivating visuals that represent the Axogen brand and its mission across social posts, sales collateral, digital and print ads, infographics, tradeshow experiences, and more.
Requirements of the Graphic Designer
- Bachelor’s degree in art, graphic design, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 year’s of experience in graphic design, preferably with a marketing or creative agency.
- Hands-on, end-to-end design experience with logos, visual identity and branding elements, advertisements, websites, digital and print production.
- A portfolio of work available for review
- Previous experience in healthcare or medical devices a plus
- Excellent organization and time management skills, able to meet deadlines often with a quick turnaround time.
- Can be creative and imaginative with highly polished communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can effectively plan, organize, and prioritize work assignments to meet deadlines.
- Experience managing and executing projects that involve multiple elements and stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing tools)
- Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Knowledge of typography, color theory and elements of design.
- Ability to maintain diplomatic peer, vendor and customer/client relations.
- Ability to be effective when working independently or cooperatively as a team member.
- Willing to travel up to 15% of the time to respond to the needs of customers and the organization.
Responsibilities of the Graphic Designer
The specific duties of the Graphic Designer include but are not limited to:
- Being the Number One steward of the brand’s visual identity and brand guidelines, including maintaining and managing access to a library of logos, icons, infographics, and templates to be used throughout the marketing department.
- Owning the visual aspect of all marketing and communications projects including generating creative concepts, selecting images and design elements, manipulating graphics, providing draft visuals for review, presenting to marketing and business leadership, executing revisions, and providing final deliverables.
- Serving as a strategic member of the marketing team, contributing artistic concepts and providing hands-on graphic support for marketing and communications initiatives, both internal and external.
- Supporting design needs for traditional and digital media including email, web, social media, brand collateral (print and digital), trade show needs, advertising, etc.
- Collaborating with marketing team members and subject matter experts in partner departments.
- Managing relationships with and overseeing projects produced by outside creative agencies and vendors
- Ensuring quality assurance and timely execution of all projects, with strong attention to detail and a thorough understanding of the benchmark of the brand.
Secondary Responsibilities: Duties that the Graphic Designer may support or consult on include:
- Working with the Brand and Creative Content Strategy Manager to develop repeatable content development process workflows that keep the team nimble in a culture that values moving fast and iterating quickly.
- Staying abreast of competitors to recommend artistic ideas to increase our marketing competitiveness.
- Bringing the most current design trends and best practices to the Axogen brand expression
- Guiding content through internal approval processes

This position is eligible for an annual bonus. Salary Range
$74,307—$92,883 USD
Axogen follows healthcare system guidelines with respect to credentialing, vaccinations and other employment/compliance related requirements, as well as CDC guidance. Axogen reserves the right to amend its policies from time to time in its sole discretion.
