We are seeking an entrepreneurial and experienced GM / Head of Financial Services to spearhead our efforts in building financial services products for our growing base of skilled hourly professionals. This is a pivotal 0 → 1 initiative, offering the opportunity to shape a transformative product from the ground up. What You’ll Do

  • Lead Product Strategy: Own and define the roadmap for financial services, working closely with senior leadership to align with Instawork’s broader mission and goals.
  • Build and Scale: Develop, test, and launch new financial services products tailored to the needs of hourly workers, ensuring adoption and retention.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and operations teams to deliver a best-in-class product experience.
  • Market Research: Conduct deep research into user needs, market trends, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation.
  • Metrics and Accountability: Define and track success metrics, ensuring financial services offerings deliver measurable impact for our workers and the business.
  • Partnerships: Establish and manage key relationships with financial institutions, payment processors, and other relevant partners.
  • Build and Lead a High-Performing Team: Recruit, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence to deliver on ambitious goals.

Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in product management, general management, or similar roles, with at least 3 years focused on fintech.
  • Proven track record of leading 0 → 1 product development, ideally in a growth-stage or startup environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial services, payment systems, or related domains.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and take ownership in a fast-paced setting.

Bonus

  • Experience founding or co-founding a fintech startup.
  • Familiarity with the needs and challenges of hourly workers.
  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field.

For CA based applicants:

  • The base salary for this position is $250,000 - $280,000
  • This position is eligible for equity in the form of stock options
  • This position is eligible for Instawork benefits, including:
