Global Sourcing Manager, Metals
OUR ROLE
At Fiskars, we are looking for a strategic and results-driven Global Sourcing Manager for Metals to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and executing sourcing strategies for metals used in both our own production and with third-party manufacturers. You will work closely with internal teams, external suppliers, and key stakeholders to drive efficiency, ensure high-quality products, and foster long-term innovation across the supply chain. Your leadership will be crucial in optimizing costs and improving processes, ensuring that our sourcing activities align with business goals and market demands.
This position is based in any of the locations Espoo, Finland/ Stockholm, Sweden/ Eschborn, Germany and reports to our Global Director Sourcing. The role is full-time and hybrid.
WHAT YOU’LL DO AT FISKARS
Responsibilities:

Develop & Execute Sourcing Strategy – Create and implement a global sourcing strategy for Metals that aligns with business objectives.

Manage Supplier Relationships – Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with key suppliers to ensure cost-competitive, high-quality materials.

Drive Cost Savings & Efficiency – Lead cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement programs within the supply base.

Monitor Market Trends – Stay informed on industry trends, new players, and cost drivers to identify opportunities for value creation.

Ensure Quality & Compliance – Collaborate with quality teams to maintain high supplier standards and meet regulatory requirements.

Mitigate Supply Chain Risks – Develop risk management strategies to prevent disruptions and ensure business continuity.

Lead & Develop Team – Manage and mentor the global sourcing team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

Engage with Stakeholders – Work closely with Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales teams to align sourcing with business needs.
WHO YOU ARE

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).

Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing, supply chain management, with at least 3 years’ experience in Metals buying in a leadership role overseeing metals suppliers.

Strong Strategic negotiation and contract management skills.

Strong ability to lead and develop teams in a global, matrixed environment.

Ability to assess market trends, manage risks, and drive cost efficiencies.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to engage across cultures and functions.

Ability to interpret and discuss technical specifications and quality standards.
