Our Global Solution Leads (GSL) are key members of the Presales organisation at Hitachi Vantara. They are the ultimate technical authority, possessing a deep specialist technical expertise in their field – in this case Data and Cyber resilience. A GSL exceptional communication & management skills enabling them to navigate multiple aspects of a complex, highly visible role whilst driving the incubation & integration of new solutions into our portfolio.
What you’ll be doing:
- Technical ownership & leadership in this field, covering presales, post sales, enablement, market analysis, competitor analysis and solution/offering development.
- Acting as the conduit between the field & product management/engineering ensuring the future strategy of the portfolio aligns with market now and in future.
- Act as technical thought leader & mentor: delivering innovation, insights and enablement to extend the skills of our field and partner presales communities.
- Collaborate to create a full value cycle to support customer and partner engagement with our portfolio including: Demos and PoCs with the CoE, asset creation with Product Marketing and Partner Marketing and Service wraps.
- Acting as the figurehead for the portfolio with customers, alliances, partners and field sales helping to build market presence utilizing exceptional in-person & social media communication skills.
- Participating at events, in forums and writing articles, blogs &/or white papers – raising yours and the Hitachi profile in the market place.
What you bring to the team:
- You are a proven, customer facing, commercially savvy solutions professional with extensive experience in the technology, infrastructure, data management industry.
- Deep knowledge of the Data Resiliency, Cyber Resiliency domain, in particular the leading software and solutions in this arena (Commvault, Veeam, Veritas)
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to adapt to the target audience (internal, external & seniority levels)
- The ability to manage multiple engagements - prioritization, planning, task delegation & attention to detail.
- Self-motivation: tenacious & comfortable working in a virtual, global team structure.
- The ability and desire to travel globally – with typically 3-4 weeks per quarter in the US &/or APAC regions
- The ability to quickly learn, understand and work with new and emerging technologies, methodologies, solutions and partners.
