As Global Project Manager Upgrades, you will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering decarbonization projects that directly support our customers' decarbonization and sustainability goals. The role focuses on upgrades of turbochargers on low-speed engines.
In our dynamic upgrade team, you will have the opportunity to unfold your “can do” attitude and curiosity, shape upgrade solutions and build strong relationship with key stakeholders, while having fun and working in a highly collaborative and enthusiastic environment.
Your responsibilities:
- Manage successful execution of contracted Upgrade projects valued in the low double-digit million range in close collaboration with Product Management and Sales.
- Lead project related resources across stakeholder boundaries, internally as well as externally. Keep teams on track to deliver short-, mid-, and long-term activities.
- Manage a complex stakeholder landscape. Plan, organize, and coordinate execution with our internal teams, our global network, external strategic partners and customers to ensure efficient and structured information flow.
- Drive project planning, implementation and risk mitigation, identifying key decision points and ensuring alignment across all stakeholders.
- Support strategic decision-making through governance, reporting and by maintaining up-to-date project data to enable portfolio-level visibility.
- Support SteCo (Steering Committee) meetings by preparing materials such as consolidated plans, status updates, and recommendations.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across internal processes and tools, driving efficiency and scalability.
- Ensures lessons learned across projects with both internal and external stakeholders.
Your background:
- Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
- At least 3 years’ experience in global project management, ideally within the industrial or automotive sector.
- Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) is a plus.
- Capable of developing a high-level strategic view on project execution, while keeping attention to relevant details whenever necessary.
- Skilled in managing complex stakeholder landscapes and aligning multiple teams around shared goals.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional and international teams without direct authority.
- Fluent in English, German is a plus.
- Strong organizational capabilities: able to plan, coordinate, and prioritize across multiple workstreams.
- Technically savvy, with the ability to interpret engineering documentation and engage with both internal and external technical stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Excel; experience with SAP ERP is a strong advantage.
- Analytical, systematic, proactive, and capable of working independently.
- Willing to travel internationally (up to 10%).
