Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Global Product Manger based at our Portland, OR location.

  

What you will do: 

  • Lead global cross-functional teams in Americas, EMEA, and APIC made up of global manufacturing, international dealers, HYG’s engineering development centers, global purchasing, regional sales and global marketing to create, develop and implement new products, solutions and marketing projects designed to meet program objectives in revenue, profitability and market share.

  • Research customer and application needs, develop new product and services concepts and manage them from development through launch and throughout the product's lifecycle.

  • Responsible for prioritizing on a global scale, projects within their specific product assignment.

  • Monitor product health providing regular performance updates on share, profit and industry/key customer penetration for the assigned products and develop plans to address any issues and further grow share. 

  • Manage all key product launches and will prepare the preparation of all documents for the Review Gate process.

  • Manage the preparation of all the information required for the option feature matrix, global worksheet, specifications sheets, sales sheets and other data as needed.

  • Responsible for providing analytical, financial, market research, product development, and marketing support to the Global Commercial Product Leader. 

  • Track key industry and technology trends and their implications for HYG and the assigned product lines. 

  • Manage all marketing inventory for the assigned product areas.

  • Proven Leader: You have a track record of leading cross-functional global teams, coordinating efforts across various regions (Americas, EMEA, APIC) to create and implement high-impact product ideas under tight deadlines.

  • Analytical and Business Savvy: You have excellent analytical skills and business acumen, allowing you to understand market trends and develop strategies to meet program objectives in revenue, profitability, and market share.

  • Effective Communicator: You possess strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with senior leadership and presenting complex information clearly.

  • Customer Focused: You prioritize customer and application needs, ensuring that new products and services meet market demands and enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Proactive and Self-Driven: You are a self-starter who can manage projects independently, from research and development through launch and the entire product lifecycle.

  • Technologically Adept: You stay updated on key industry and technology trends, understanding their implications for your product lines and leveraging this knowledge to drive innovation and growth.

What you will need: 

  • BS degree, technical/engineering, or related field required. MBA preferred.

  • Minimum 7 years relevant experience.

Skills, Experience & Abilities       

  • Proven leadership and marketing/sales success.  

  • Project management skills     

  • Excellent product, application and technical knowledge     

  • Successful experience, proficient in relevant software tools, supplemental training, or certification

  • Experience working with and communicating to dealers, customers and all functions within HYG preferred
