The Global Payroll Process Owner is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of Elanco's global payroll processes, including time and attendance. This role will partner with internal stakeholders, external payroll providers, and technology teams to ensure accurate and compliant payroll delivery worldwide. The Global Payroll Process Owner will identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and standardization across all Elanco locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversight and Governance: Provide comprehensive oversight of global payroll processes, ensuring compliance with local legal and regulatory requirements in all countries of operation.
- Process Design and Optimization: Lead the design, documentation, and continuous improvement of global payroll processes, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external payroll providers, including contract negotiations, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes with other business functions.
- Technology Integration: Leverage payroll technology solutions to automate and streamline processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and internal policies related to payroll. Manage internal and external payroll audits.
- Issue Resolution: Provide support to resolve escalated payroll inquiries and address complex issues effectively.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Stay informed of industry best practices and evolving regulatory requirements.
- Project Management: Lead and participate in global payroll projects, such as system implementations, upgrades, and process transformations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, or related field.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred.
- Extensive experience in global payroll management, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex payroll processes across multiple countries.
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements in various global jurisdictions.
- Experience managing relationships with external payroll providers.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with payroll technology platforms.
