Job Description
We are seeking a high performing individual as our Operations Controller. This position is a Senior Director position and will be a significant part of our global accounting leadership team. The Operations Controller will report to the Chief Accounting Officer and will be based in San Jose, CA (Hybrid). This position will own our global operational accounting relating to our sites/locations, including statutory reporting and compliance. This position will work together with the corporate controller in discharging their responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- The 3 regional controllers will report to the Operations Controller.
- Ensure that the accounting records for each site/entity is maintained accurately.
- Ensure that the books for each site/entity are closed on time and accurately to support the global financial close process.
- Ensure that account reconciliations are completed and reviewed timely and accurately.
- Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations.
- Ensure controls are implemented and executed to support the company’s SOX procedures.
- Oversee the company’s compliance with local statutory audit and filing requirements.
- Work collaboratively with members of the accounting team as well as members from other teams in discharging your responsibilities.
- Support other members of the accounting team and members from other teams to complete their work by providing the necessary information.
- Develop and support your team through coaching and mentoring to become better accounting professionals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or advanced degree in finance or accounting.
- CPA, Chartered Accountant or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience as a leader in operational accounting (preferably in a controller capacity) in a medium-to-large public company.
- Experience in handling operational accounting with hardware and manufacturing (semiconductor preferred).
- Experience managing global teams of at least 20 individuals.
- Experience working on SAP S/4 HANA.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven track record of having developed team members to grow and expand their responsibilities.

- Ability to stay calm under pressure without losing sight of the objectives and goals.
- Proven track record of motivating teams to perform at a high standard.
- Proven track record of successfully hiring and building high performing teams.
- Language skills – Korean and/or Mandarin.
Additional Information
For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $199,920 to $330,240. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
