Job Description

The Production Scheduling and Coordination role ensures smooth production execution by maintaining schedules, optimizing timelines, and driving productivity improvements. Transportation Management tracks global logistics performance and drives digitalization, while Tender Management selects cost-effective service providers and ensures contractual compliance. Troubleshooting resolves transportation-related issues promptly

Production Scheduling and Coordination:

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules across multiple facilities and regions.
  • Collaborate with production managers, procurement teams, and suppliers to optimize production timelines.
  • Analyze production disruptions and productivity problems.
  • Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs.
  • Using market forecasts and competitive analysis to anticipate necessary production changes.

Transportation Management:

  • Create Global Reports and Dashboards and track global logistics performance (supplier performance, lead-times, spend etc.).
  • Evaluate transportation costs, transit times, and service levels to make informed decisions.
  • Drive Digitalization of Logistics processes (TMS, Workflow creation etc.)
  • Lead or contribute the continuous improvement of Transportation processes and procedures

Tender Management:

  • Participate in tender processes for Logistics services (transportation, customs, warehousing).
  • Analyze bids, negotiate rates, and select the most cost-effective and reliable service provider.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and service level agreements.

Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution

  • Proactively identify transportation-related issues (e.g., delays, damages, customs clearance) and address them promptly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., warehouse, customer service) to resolve shipment discrepancies.
  • Implement corrective actions to prevent recurring problems.


Qualifications

  • More than 3 years of relevant working experience in production scheduling, transportation management, and logistics. Proven experience in an international manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
  • Fluent in English and basic knowledge in an Eastern European language and German
  • Expertise (e.g. professional, technical):

  • SAP
  • Relational databases and SQL
  • Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
  • Microsoft Power BI
  • Microsoft Forms
  • Microsoft Power Automate
  • Project management tool
