Job Summary: The HazCom Specialist will help to establish, maintain, audit and improve processes, procedures and communications to ensure compliance with global Hazard Communication programs. Primary responsibilities include managing safety data sheet (SDS) requests and updates, responding to customer SDS requests and providing technical support and training to internal and external stakeholders on hazard communication regulations and best practices. The candidate will work directly with our vendor 3E, the Global HazCom Manager and global team members and stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and possesses excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Support and process SDS requests and updates, including during the bi-annual update process, working with our external SDS provider.

Support the management of the 3E Protect SDS repository system, including developing a plan to improve the process to better manage the removal and disposition of obsolete SDSs from this system.

Review the SDS inbox and respond to customer requests.

Support work with 3E Protect related to training and enhancements.

Deliver training globally to the Product Sustainability Network, Business Customer Service Representatives, and sites.

Support the contract manufacturing SDS and label update process.

Support the team to improve the SDS shipping error process.
The following is required for this role:

Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental science, occupational health, or related field

At least 3 years of experience in hazard communication, SDS authoring, or regulatory affairs

Knowledge of GHS and other hazard communication regulations and standards

Experience with SAP Environment, Health and Safety regulatory compliance system

Fluent in English and Spanish desired

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
