QBE Group has embarked on an ambitious Global Finance Transformation Programme (the Programme) to transform our Finance function through introducing a globally consistent operating model and ways of working. This includes integrated processes spanning Financial Analysis and Reporting (FP&A), Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) and Finance Operations (Fin Ops), using data in a consistent and uniformed way and migrating from aging technology to an Oracle ERP Cloud platform, supported by best of bread components. The transformation journey is well advanced, with our Group Head Office and European Operations business live and other releases in progress. ^ In addition to the Programme, Finance is looking to improve the level of service it provides to its business stakeholders and to find efficiency opportunities within the global function, this includes opportunities to consolidate and simplify existing Finance support functions under a single global leadership structure. | The Global Finance Systems Analyst (GSSC) is a junior role in the Global Finance Systems Support team, reporting to the Global Core Finance Systems Support Lead (GSSC), and will be accountable for the delivery of Global Oracle FIAB platform support to our global Finance (EO, APAC and NAO) and Procurement professionals. The role will involve providing level 1 Finance System Support which will be responsible in all execution activities around system administration, finance master data maintenance, global incident/defect triage management, etc.; Work closely with the Global Oracle FIAB Support Tower (London).

Primary Responsibilities
• Engage and influence Finance management team to embed a continuous improvement culture supported by ongoing change management
• Work in conjunction with Finance Transformation Programme teams to transition activities into BAU support using a rigorous service take on approach
•Ensure that the Global Oracle FIAB Tower complies with all relevant Group Policies and Standards, including but not limited to areas such as Financial Control Frameworks, Data Governance, Information Security and BCP
• Develop ongoing opportunities for process improvement, automation and simplification
• Ensure support SLAs and KPIs are understood and agreed by all key stakeholders and that KPIs are met or exceeded
• Work with internal and external auditors to ensure thorough review, identification and rectification of any issues raised so that QBE achieves expected standards and best practice requirements
•Ongoing positive attestation to Group policies and standards with confirmation through QBE’s three lines of defense
• Regular and ongoing improvements to Financial functionality through timely releases of new capability
• Achievement of service levels and positive “voice of the business partner” feedback
• Relevant information provided to auditors in timing manner
•Provide front line operational support in accordance with service standards ensuring the provision of excellent customer service
• Provide diagnosis and problem solving for the QBE suite of Oracle Fusion finance applications and business processes across General Ledger, Financial Accounting Hub, Accounts Payable, ICO, and Procure to Pay, as well as integration points to other components of the FTP architecture (for example Hyperion Planning, Finance Data Warehouse etc.)
• Prioritize incidents/issues using business rationale and interact with third party managed support towers to resolve issues in a timely manner
• Collaborate with third party vendors to target and leverage relationships to maximize business process efficiency and minimize costs
• Support the regional Finance teams in managing and executing the period close process
• Continue to seek out improvements to transaction processing and establish methods to reduce unnecessary processing time

Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Required Experience
• 2 years relevant experience
Preferred Competencies/Skills
• Excellent MS Office skills including advance excel to macro level and VBA skills desirable
• Chartered Accountant (ideally) with supporting relevant skills and experience in a Finance environment
• Managing reference data in a complex multi-dimension environment
• Understanding of Oracle’s architecture and key configuration options – specifically Oracle Fusion
• Strong skills in data analysis, mapping and reconciliation procedures
• Intermediate to Advanced problem solving skills and analytical skills; very good attention to details
• Strong data management skills
• Can perform independently and/or minimal supervision
Preferred Knowledge
• Strong understanding of the Finance function including Financial Accounting and Reporting, Planning budgeting and Forecasting and Finance Operations processes
• Knowledge of Finance technologies and implementation leading practices
• Strong understanding of Oracle and/or Fusion Financials demonstrated via 3-5 years implementation/support experience
• Insurance accounting and/or support/implementation experience within the insurance sector
