Job Description:
This newly created and highly visible role will be tasked with framing, driving, and supporting the holistic productivity agenda for the Mars Snacking Global Segment in collaboration with segment global functions, Mars Global Services, and regional process owners. The scope of the role will cover efficiencies across the P&L, including but not limited to, COGs value leadership, overheads, trade, A&CP, and overall non-quality costs. The goal is to accelerate the development and strengthening of a productivity muscle through actionable insights that ultimately help deliver the financial commitments of the Mars Snacking segment. This will provide perspective for both short-term performance management as well as the delivery of the segment’s long-term value creation algorithm.
What are we looking for?
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field
- MBA or other advanced degree in business or finance preferred
- Self-starter and co-creator looking to make an impact with a strong bias towards actions in a complex and ambiguous environment
- Experience in managing large scale productivity / transformational programs in complex, global organizations
- Demonstrated analytical skills and proven ability to manage process end-to-end within a complex and ambiguous environment
- Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate all levels within the business to align & deliver objectives
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Framing and governance of holistic productivity initiatives across functions, regions, and business units within the Mars Snacking Global segment
- Defining the criteria for tracking productivity initiatives to ensure discrete business benefits that are comparable between units and accessible via a single source of truth
- Mobilizing & organizing productivity workstreams across functions, regions, and divisions
- Facilitate and support new regional approach to zero-based budgeting (ZBB) process through development of new protocols and digital tool support
- Creation of high-quality reporting materials and solutions for a diverse group of stakeholders, including digital tools
- Act as a single point of contact for all Productivity related topics
- Playing a pivotal role in the Mars FP&A community as catalyst for best practice sharing across regions, divisions, and segments
- Completing deep-dive, ad-hoc analysis for senior stakeholders to provide perspective on holistic productivity opportunities and performance within the segment
- Supporting the segment’s financial Rhythm of Performance by coordinating a variety of financial shaping, planning, and forecasting processes with a focus on productivity action plans and results
How will you operate within the team?
- Collaborate with Mars Snacking divisions/regions and Corporate to ensure efficient governance, information flow, and transparency on performance of productivity programs
- Coordinate with data and digital leads to expand visibility of productivity initiatives and drive accountability through digital solutions and comms. This could include, but is not limited to: expansion of overheads dashboard to incorporate data from other categories, goal/target setting, control tower approval system and digital tracking of progress towards goals
- Act as one point-of-contact for Global FP&A for all productivity related activities and manage interactions across teams

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offered and the employee’s work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
