The Global Data Lead plays a pivotal role in the success of Kardex by ensuring that data is a reliable and strategic asset for the organization. This role directly contributes to the efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of business operations, enabling informed decision-making and driving long-term business success.
The Global Data Lead is responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership for all data-related activities within the NorthStar ERP Transformation Program and beyond. This critical position ensures the integrity, quality, and accessibility of data throughout the lifecycle of the ERP implementation and afterwards. In collaboration with our Process and Data owners, the Global Data Lead is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the overall goals of the ERP program, enabling effective decision-making and operational efficiency.
Your tasks

Strategic Leadership: Define and lead the data strategy for the ERP SAP transformation program, ensuring alignment with overall program goals.

Data Governance: Establish and maintain robust data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity throughout the transformation.

Project Management: Manage the data workstream project plan, including scope, schedule, and resources. Track progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet milestones.

Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to understand data requirements, provide insights, and facilitate effective communication.

Data Migration: Oversee the data migration process, ensuring accurate and timely transfer of data from legacy systems to the new SAP platform.

Data Integration: Lead efforts to integrate data across various systems and platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency.

Risk Management: Identify potential data-related risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.

Team Leadership: Guide and mentor the data management team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data processes, tools, and methodologies.

Consultancy Partner Management: Provide expertise and manage the collaboration with external consultancy partners, ensuring alignment with project objectives and effective knowledge transfer.

Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of data architecture, data migration, data integration, and data governance principles. Proficiency in ERP data management tools.

Training / Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., SAP Data Management, PMP) are highly desirable.
Professional Experience:

Extensive experience in data management, with a proven track record in leading data initiatives within large-scale ERP programs, preferably SAP ECC or S/4HANA and within an industrial manufacturing environment.
