About this Role

The Global Commercial Lead, Alzheimer’s will be responsible driving the long-term value of the asset, a disease modifying therapy for the treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease and serve as the single enterprise-wide point of accountability to drive long term success of the asset including potential launch of SC formulation and LCM indications.

This person will lead the asset globally, partnering closely with internal Biogen stakeholders and working closely with the co-commercialization partner, to maximize long term value for patients, while also meeting partnership objectives. This position is a core member and commercial representative of the cross-functional Biogen PDC leadership team and global commercial team meetings with the co-commercialization partner.

 What You’ll Do

  • Evolve Alzheimer commercial strategy with the addition of SC formulation and potential future indications in a competitively dynamic environment with a co-commercialization partner and competitive entrants throughout the products lifecycle.
  • Strengthen global product marketing inclusive of positioning, differentiated messaging in collaboration and co-creation with the co-commercialization partner.
  • Provide strategic direction and commercial input to multiple Life Cycle Management (LCM) clinical studies and develop rationale to support expanding the LCM program with additional studies to differentiate ALZ long-term.
  • Develop and monitor commercial launch sequence to maximize the value and patient access to the medicine. The launch sequence in context to a growing competitive landscape in a difficult therapy area.
  • Continue to foster a strong partnership with co-commercialization partner

Who You Are

You are a highly collaborative leader who has experience engaging with key medical experts, patient advocacy organizations, public policy makers, and investors to integrate these perspectives into product strategy. You have strong leadership, planning and organization, analytics, decision making and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 10+ years of relevant commercial experience that includes global marketing, P&L experience at affiliate level, commercial partnerships
  • Experience in a highly complex matrix organization
  • Prior product launch experience across the value chain
  • Anticipated travel: up to 15% international 

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Alzheimer’s development, launch and/or commercialization experience is preferred. However, experience in HIV, Oncology or Cardiometabolic in development, launch and/or commercialization may also be relevant.
