Requirements:
- Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or Industrial Engineering and 5 years of experience in building and deploying a sourcing strategy for technical purchasing categories.
- Must have experience in:
- Deploying strategic sourcing strategies for electronics components.
- Managing strategic electronics supplier relationships, including, performance, development, negotiations, and integration.
- Utilizing Lean and SixSigma methodologies to develop cost reduction strategies and savings plans for material flow.
- Leading purchasing project initiatives utilizing VAVE and Value Based Sourcing to ensure purchasing KPI’s are met.
- Administering PowerBI visual management online purchasing system to improve visibility of key purchasing metrics.
Job Duties:
- Plan and coordinate activities related to the purchasing of the electronic and semi-conductor components utilized in the printed circuit boards of manufactured appliances.
- Build and deploy sourcing strategies for technical purchasing categories, including, electronics and electronic components.
- Plan, update, and maintain purchasing department budgets on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
- Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability. Identify new potential suppliers for various projects by benchmarking.
- Lead purchasing project initiatives utilizing Value Analysis and Value Engineering (“VAVE”) and Value Based Sourcing to ensure purchasing KPI’s are met.
- Manage strategic electronics supplier relationships, including, performance, development, negotiations, and integration.
- Utilize strategic sourcing methodologies to manage the company’s sourcing strategy to supplier capabilities align with operational and inventory objectives.
- Demonstrate ability to effectively manage strategic supplier relationships, including relationship building, performance, development, and integration.
- Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to develop cost reduction strategies and savings plans for material flow.
- Utilize Sourcing Board to prepare bid awards and present business cases to board for approval.
- Negotiate prices and Long-Term Agreements with assigned suppliers.
- Implement improved sourcing methods, support tooling optimization and supplier risk assessment.
- Prepare reports regarding market conditions.
- Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids.
- Lead a cross-functional team in Material Flow & Inventory Control.
- Administer PowerBi visual management online purchasing system to improve visibility of key purchasing metrics.
