Define and secure competitive and resilient sources of supply for the category Precision Casting & Forging in collaboration with all global Accelleron divisions (product and service business), countries and the global functions, targeting highest productivity in consideration of cost, capital employed, OTD, quality and resilience in accordance with the SCM Strategy.
Your Responsibilities:
Strategy:

Develop and implement the category strategy and targets in accordance with overall SCM and Division strategies to achieve profitable growth, supply chain resilience and sustainability
Accountability:

Direct lead of local Category Managers and Technical Sourcing Engineers and functionally local category leaders in the other locations worldwide

Secure a cost competitiveness, a high overall global quality standard and a high availability of parts to improve the Accelleron competitiveness and customer focus

Partner with global teams in sourcing hubs to enhance resilience, cost efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery

Drive the development of the sourcing hubs to reduce lead times for new parts development and sample releases on site

Foster and sustain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure seamless collaboration and long-term partnership

Evaluate and develop new suppliers and secure supply sources

Assign sourcing of category parts to different regions and drive the supplier development

Global contract management and negotiations for the assigned category

Coordinate and drive category related investments

Drive an active supplier risk management to ensure the Accelleron sources of supply

Ensure an appropriate category reporting towards Divisions and countries and other interest groups

Secure and optimize the transport logistics from the suppliers and sourcing hubs

Recruit and develop essential personnel to build a skilled, high-performing team

Ensure an active retention- and talent development
Your Background:
-
University degree with substantial knowledge of Supply Chain Management, Business Engineering and/or Business Administration

Proven experience in Supply Chain Management, Category Management and experience in production preferable

Strong leadership experience
-
Relevant experience in production / sourcing in an international business environment

Strategic orientation, systematic thinking

Strong personal skills to build relationships with senior leaders and other stakeholders
