Job Description

We are looking for a Global Brand Manager, reporting directly to the Global Director, Local Jewels and Brand Excellence, based within the Global JDE Marketing team in Amsterdam.

In this role, you’ll be working with 13+ brands across 10+ markets, supporting in the development and implementation of long-term brand strategies that showcase an understanding of brand meaning, competitive landscape and market conditions. Together with local teams, you will monitor the application of brand growth principles to identify demand spaces for future growth.

You’ll ensure that our content management tools (DAM, Sprinklr) and transcreation process are optimized, , efficient and fit-for-purpose, to help in driving brand building and creative excellence, proposing, when/if needed, new tools and processes.

Finally, you’ll be working with the AFH/ Coffee Solutions team, and with cross functional teams such as Sustainability and Shopper, to ensure our brands show up consistently in omnichannel, regardless of the subject matter they’re communicating or the channel they’re present.


You will achieve success by working under the leadership of the Global Director, Local Jewels and Brand Excellence and in collaboration with the global and local teams to drive brand growth. You will use global tools to create synergies and achieve excellence, and our Marketing Philosophy as your guiding principle.

  • Act as a guardian of JDE’s Brand Building Philosophy, ensuring all Local Jewels follow our brand growth principles
  • Engage with local Brand Managers on an ongoing basis, to strengthen local markets activations, ensuring all are in line with the approved Brand Strategy Plans
  • Deliver regular brand reviews, that include updates on brand performance, evolution of brand health, trends, and competitive landscape to assess how Local Jewels are tracking against their Brand Strategy Plan
  • Assist in brand communications and master design assets development with external agencies (from brief to execution) for Local Jewels Brands
  • Deliver playbooks, toolkits and frameworks that cut across categories and brand disciplines (e.g. sustainability, innovation launches) to drive excellence in local execution and that create synergies among our brands
  • Assess, together with Digital Marketing and IT, our content management tools (DAM, Sprinklr) and transcreation process, to continuously identify optimizations that bring efficiencies
  • Set omnichannel guidelines (e.g. digital, shopper, packaging) to translate JDE Peet’s Common Grounds Programme through our brands in Retail and Away-From-Home
  • Connect and engage the Marketing Community by collecting and sharing brand building best practices that lead to repeating winning models

For this role as Global Brand Manager – Local Jewels, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree
  • At least 5 years of relevant brand management experience in an FMCG environment
  • Local market marketing experience is a plus
  • Able to manage complex and matrix environment
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Sensitive to trends and passionate about equity development, visual design and the role brands can play in people’s life.
