Our Geographic Information Systems Analyst II will support projects for our diverse leading with energy business groups.  The Analyst II will support, design and deliver geospatial and data visualization solutions for data analysis, reporting, and assist with decision-making to fulfill business objectives. This position will involve working with clients to gather and analyze business requirements; determine data needs (both internal and external); Work with the GIS Analyst Lead to develop implementation strategies; use analytical tools to create and deliver solutions; and develop, monitor, and review actionable metrics, dashboards, and analytics products that enable clients to make data-informed decisions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Geography/GIS, Science, Engineering or related field,  

AA degree with GIS emphasis, GIS Certificate 

Experience: 3- 5 years of experience Specialized Technical Training  

  • Proficiency in ESRI GIS software and related tools (ArcGIS Pro, Survey 123, Fieldmaps, Storymaps) 
  • Experience collecting and managing geospatial data 
  • Fieldwork experience 
  • Experience with AutoDesk suite. 
  • Proficiency in cartographic principles, map design, and visualization techniques 

Travel: 50%  

Work Schedule: Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Experience working in the ArcGIS environment (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Mobile Applications). 
  • Knowledge of electric utility systems is a plus. 
  • Experience with implementing mobile mapping solutions with high-accuracy GPS hardware is a plus. 
  • Possess the ability to achieve quality results, be change-oriented, use effective communication skills, be customer-driven, foster innovation, be a continuous learner, and display teamwork behavior. 
  • Familiarity with Python, SQL, and Arcade. 
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Create ArcGIS Sites and Hubs to distribute GIS resources across an organization.   
  • Develop workflows for Field Maps and Survey123 to assist in mobile data collection. 
  • Utilizing ESRI GIS software to manage, analyze, and visualize data 
  • Conducting spatial analysis and applying geoprocessing techniques to support projects 
  • Creating high-quality maps and interactive web maps for presentations and reports 
  • Collaborating with team members to design and maintain geospatial databases, ensuring data integrity and efficient data retrieval 
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of geospatial workflows and standards 
  • Providing technical expertise and support to team members in GIS-related tasks and projects 
  • Staying up to date on the latest GIS technologies, tools, and methodologies relevant to cultural resources management 
  • Effectively communicating GIS findings and analysis to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through written reports and presentations. 
  • This position may require work to be performed on-site at a project site. Some travel may be required. 
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
