Overview
Linklaters LLP has one of the world’s leading Corporate practices. Our specialists provide expertise on the full range of M&A work, including cross-border, multi-jurisdictional and domestic deals, auctions, joint ventures and disposals, on behalf of corporates, investment banks or private equity houses. They also handle corporate reorganisations, reconstructions and demergers, corporate governance issues, hostile bid and defence planning and the full range of public securities issues.
Key responsibilities and challenges
Participate actively in drafting, reviewing and negotiating documentation;
Provide research and advice to clients;
Coordinate the input of lawyers from other jurisdictions to ensure that clients receive a seamless service from the firm;
Work closely with other departments (cross-practice) and offices in other jurisdictions (cross-border matters).
Qualifications and skills required
A qualified (or soon to be qualified) lawyer with up to 2 years of experience ideally in Corporate law and with outstanding academic qualifications;
Fluent in written and spoken English, French and German;
Team player who is also capable of working independently;
Good drafting skills;
Client and solution oriented;
Excellent communication, writing and analytical skills.
