Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead with Impact: Direct, recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team, providing performance feedback that fuels productivity, efficiency, and growth.
  • Drive Performance: Consistently meet and exceed company goals by managing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Labor to Revenue (LTR), truck turn times, and customer service standards.
  • Optimize Operations: Analyze all warehouse activities and costs to uncover opportunities for process improvements, driving operational excellence across the board.
  • Collaborate & Conquer: Partner with the Sales Manager to fuel marketing and sales efforts, including crafting new account strategies, prospecting, sales calls, quoting rates, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.
  • Customer-Centric Focus: Establish a customer-first mentality, ensuring that every action taken maintains top-tier relationships with clients and drives unparalleled service.
  • Financial Stewardship: Monitor and control budgets, capital expenditures, material handling equipment, and space utilization to meet corporate financial targets.
  • Champion Safety & Quality: Lead initiatives to ensure the safe receipt, storage, handling, and distribution of food products, exceeding Lineage safety standards and maintaining top-notch food quality.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of Operations Management experience within Supply Chain or a related field.
  • Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to develop and execute strategies, annual plans (budget, operational performance, SOPs), and manage bottom-line cost/efficiency.
  • Process Improvement Expertise: Hands-on experience with continuous improvement initiatives like Six Sigma and/or LEAN.
  • People Leadership: Demonstrated success in managing, training, and developing operational teams to drive performance.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Presentation Savvy: Comfortably lead discussions, make presentations, and explain complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Problem Solver: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage ambiguity and make data-driven decisions.
  • Travel & Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to work in environments ranging from -20°F/-25°C in cold storage to 100°F/37°C in dry storage, while wearing necessary personal protective equipment.
  • Strength & Comfort: Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs/18kgs, and handle varying noise levels within the facility.

Pay Range:$108,900.00 - $195,900.00
