Job Description

We are looking for an experienced General Accounting Team Leader/ Manager to join our finance team. If you have a background in month-end close activities and the development of a strategy towards a controllership mindset, then you are good candidate for this role. You will also focus on applying digital enablement through data analytics and anomalies detection to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.

You will report to General Accountig Manager and work in hybrid model from our office in Katowice.

Your Responsibilities:

• GAAP Compliance: Ensure all accounting activities and financial reporting comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Quarterly Close Activities: Manage the quarterly close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Controllership Mindset: Develop and implement strategies to foster a controllership mindset within the team, emphasizing accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Digital Enablement: Use data analytics tools and techniques to identify and address anomalies in financial data, enhancing the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the general accounting team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to improve accounting operations.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure alignment and compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in general accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques.
• ERP Systems proficency - SAP or Oracle
• Team management skills.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification .
• Knowledge of GAAP and experience with quarterly close processes.
