About the Role
The Gearbox CAP Design Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, and optimization of gearbox systems using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the development of high-performance and reliable gearbox systems that meet industry standards and customer requirements.
Your Responsibilities
Drawings and 3D models

  • Create Main-Assy-Drawings and Sub-Assy-Drawings
  • Create Customer Installation Drawings
  • Virtual Build-up Simulation


Bill of Material (BoM), Requirements

  • Provide GBX BOM out of CATIA
  • Track and Report Requirement Status
  • Part of DFMEA, PFMEA and RISC analysis
  • Part of Concern Management
  • Check of Preferred parts Process and Tracking
  • Pre-fill of Design Review Documents


Tolerance Stacks 1D

  • Perform 1-dimensional stack up analysis to determine proper clearance, distance and engagement variation using assigned dimensional tolerances with statistical considerations by using PE.21 Stack Up Analysis Form (xls- based)


Ballooning of Drawings

  • Creation of ballooned drawings


Who we are looking for

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in gearbox design and development.
  • Expert knowledge for creation and editing 3D CAD models in Surfaces & Solids, as well as creation and arrange of cat products in CATIA
  • Expert knowledge to create and edit drawings in CATIA
  • Expert Knowledge of GD&T
  • Skills in automotive gearbox & mechatronics
  • Base Knowledge of ANSI, SAE, QS-9000/TS16949 and other industry/customer related standards.
  • Base knowledge in Failure Mode Effect Analysis technics (DFMEA)
  • Understanding of 8D or other problem-solving techniques
  • Knowledge about Requirements Engineering Process
  • Knowledge about Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Process
  • Competence about Ballooning of Drawings or about Ballooning tools (Inspection Xpert) warm welcome
