About the Engineering Team
At Casebook, our Engineering team drives innovation and efficiency across our technological infrastructure. This team of passionate experts collaborates with cross-functional teams to build seamless deployment pipelines, champion best practices, and stay at the forefront of emerging technologies. Their work ensures Casebook remains agile and adaptive in a rapidly evolving landscape.
Your Impact
As a Full Stack Engineer (Level II), you’ll play a pivotal role in building and delivering expertise in enterprise cloud-native software development. In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams—including designers, product managers, and infrastructure engineers—to build and deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
You’ll contribute to our Agile development process, enhance engineering standards, and support the implementation of the Casebook Platform, serving both small nonprofits and large-scale government agencies.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

Lead technical design, integration, implementation, and testing of enterprise SaaS human services systems.

Develop and enhance software architecture, including persistence and structural design patterns.

Translate business objectives into technical requirements and solutions.

Design, implement, and troubleshoot API integrations within a complex ecosystem.

Contribute to the development of Casebook platform functionality using state-of-the-art frameworks.

Maintain high security, extensibility, reusability, and testing standards in system architecture.

Stay ahead of emerging technologies and apply them effectively.

Build solutions that make a real difference for vulnerable populations.
Qualifications
What You Bring (Skills and Experience)
✅ Strong experience in full-stack web development (Java, GraphQL, React required).
✅ Experience building microservices architectures.
✅ Proficiency in RESTful APIs using OpenAPI standards.
✅ Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Redis, S3, Redshift, Apache Kafka, Lambda, and EMR.
✅ Previous leadership experience in major IT application implementations.
✅ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify roadblocks.
✅ Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
✅ Proficiency in Git and version control systems.
✅ Experience with IT security best practices.
✅ Background in software testing, including unit, integration, and performance testing.
✅ Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation.
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
