Job Description
- Running and troubleshooting chemical assays in support of small molecule drug development.
- Routine sample testing support.
- Routine lab maintenance and support.
- Method Development and troubleshooting of HPLC and/or GC methods.
- Method Validation of HPLC and/or GC methods.
Keys to SuccessEducation and Experience
- BS degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, immunology, or closely related field
- Experience with performing chemical experiments independently.
- Experience analyzing data, interpreting results, and reporting data in laboratory notebooks.
- Ability to maintain accurate and complete laboratory records.
- Ability to communicate ideas and concepts.
- Knowledge of general chemistry and separation science
- Ability to independently perform root cause analysis for method investigations
- Proven problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Time management and project management skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative work environment with a team
- Ability to train junior staff
In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Proven knowledge of HPLC analytical separation techniques and troubleshooting
- Proven experience with small molecule testing and method validation
- Prior experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
- Preferred skills: GC, Dissolution, Karl Fisher, Osmolality, SubVisible Particulate Matter testing, Empower, ELNB
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence.
- Strong technical writing skills for documentation.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis of experimental results.
- Demonstration of a high level of scientific rigor and integrity.
