We are passionate, deliberate, and driven by our mission – to enable our clients to make the world healthier, safer, and cleaner.Within our Analytical Services team, we have a functional service provider solution, which is an outstanding partnership that allows our customers to use the experience of our staff, while allowing you, the employee, to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company, all while maintaining full-time benefits.This is an onsite position located in Collegeville, PA.Discover Impactful WorkThe Scientist possesses a thorough understanding of laboratory procedures and can reliably conduct complex analysis with increased independence. Performs a variety of complex sample preparation and analysis procedures to quantitatively measure pharmaceutical compounds in a variety of formulations and API. Follows experimental analytical procedures independently. Responsible for review and compilation of results and data comparison against SOP acceptance criteria, methodology, protocol and product specifications. Enters data into databases and reports. Performs self review for own data prior to QC submission.A day in the Life
  • Running and troubleshooting chemical assays in support of small molecule drug development.
  • Routine sample testing support.
  • Routine lab maintenance and support.
  • Method Development and troubleshooting of HPLC and/or GC methods.
  • Method Validation of HPLC and/or GC methods.

Keys to SuccessEducation and Experience

  • BS degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, immunology, or closely related field
  • Experience with performing chemical experiments independently.
  • Experience analyzing data, interpreting results, and reporting data in laboratory notebooks.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and complete laboratory records.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and concepts.

  • Knowledge of general chemistry and separation science
  • Ability to independently perform root cause analysis for method investigations
  • Proven problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Time management and project management skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative work environment with a team
  • Ability to train junior staff

In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proven knowledge of HPLC analytical separation techniques and troubleshooting
  • Proven experience with small molecule testing and method validation
  • Prior experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Preferred skills:  GC, Dissolution, Karl Fisher, Osmolality, SubVisible Particulate Matter testing, Empower, ELNB
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence.
  • Strong technical writing skills for documentation.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis of experimental results.
  • Demonstration of a high level of scientific rigor and integrity.
