The Front End Specialist is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the efficiency of power press machinery, performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing equipment issues, and training coworkers on maintenance tasks. Position Summary 

 

Ensure power press machinery (Cuppers, Body Makers, Trimmers, Balers, and Conveyance Mats) is properly maintained and running at peak efficiency within quality specifications.  

 

 

 

Essential Functions/Key Deliverables  

 

  • Perform preventative maintenance on all Front End machinery 

  • Greasing the specified grease points\ 

  • Alignment of the machines 

  • Replace worn/damage tooling 

  • Maintain records of tooling usage per machine 

  • Rebuild/Repair equipment 

  • Identify leaks in the system 

  • Ability to read blueprints/drawings (DWGs) 

  • Work within tolerances <.0005 

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment  

  • Help train other employees on how to troubleshoot. 

  • Perform any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role. 

 

Knowledge/Skills/Experience 

 

  • Vocational education a plus (Mechanical, Technical or similar). 

  • Experience in a Manufacturing facility is a plus. 

  • Intermediate knowledge of US measurement. 

  • Trouble shoot machinery when out of specification. 

  • Experience with calipers, dial indicators, feeler gauges, and depth micrometers. 

  • General tool knowledge and capable of using torque wrenches to specified specification. 

  • Problem solving skills. 

  • Self-motivated with high attention to detail required. 

  • Ability to work independently or as a team. 

  • Must be able to operate a forklift. 

  • Team Player.
