As the Engineering Manager - Frontend, you will lead and mentor a talented team of frontend software engineers, driving the development of beautiful and delightful user experiences for strongDM's products. You will collaborate closely with Product and Design to ensure a cohesive and engaging user journey. You will foster a culture of innovation and excellence within your team, promoting growth and development.
What you'll Do:
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of front-end software engineers.
- Own the frontend function at StrongDM, setting the technical direction and ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Partner with Product and Design to define and deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
- Champion frontend development best practices and standards.
- Drive technical excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
- Provide regular feedback and guidance to team members, fostering their growth and development.
- Contribute to the development of StrongDM's engineering culture and best practices.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in frontend development with expertise in modern web technologies (e.g., React, JavaScript, TypeScript).
- 2+ years of experience managing and leading software engineering teams.
- A passion for building beautiful, user-friendly, and accessible web applications.
- Strong understanding of design principles and user experience best practices.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with remote teams preferred.
Compensation
- $180,000-230,000 + equity salary packages
