As a Medical Office Front Desk Representative, you are the first point of contact for patients and visitors to our medical practice. Your role is pivotal in creating a welcoming and organized environment while efficiently managing administrative tasks critical to the smooth operation of our medical office.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and ensure a smooth check-in and check-out process. Verify patient information, collect insurance details, and schedule appointments as needed.
- Manage patient appointments, coordinating with medical staff to ensure optimal scheduling and minimal wait times.
- Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with privacy regulations, such as HIPAA.
- Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries, verify coverage, and process co-payments or payments. Work closely with billing and coding staff as required.
- Answer and route incoming calls, addressing patient inquiries, scheduling requests, and providing accurate information.
- Act as a liaison between patients and medical staff, conveying messages and assisting with patient needs and concerns.
- Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and managing medical records in an electronic health records (EHR) system.
- Maintain a secure and confidential environment, especially concerning patient information, by following HIPAA guidelines and office security protocols.
- Ensure the smooth flow of patients within the medical office, optimizing efficiency and minimizing wait times.
- Keep the front desk area and waiting room tidy, organized, and well-stocked with necessary forms, brochures, and supplies.
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a medical office
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (Required)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficient in using medical office software, electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (Required)
Compensation: $19.00 - $21.00
