FREELANCE TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER
About the requirement:
We are looking for a Freelance Technical Project Manager to join our Boldyn Networks – Private Networks Europe (PNE) team for 3 months on a part time basis based in Madrid. The start date is 1st February 2025.
The position will coordinate the planning and execution of highly complex 5G/4G Private Network projects. You will also be a direct interface with technical and sales teams, customers, suppliers and other key stakeholders and will have a holistic view of all aspects of the 5G/4G Private Network business.
What you’ll be doing
As part of the our Private Networks Europe team, the role will:
- Lead and execute delivery projects, internal development projects and subprojects
- Be the single point of contact during delivery for all the tasks within the project (site surveys, design, installation, configuration, commissioning, acceptance and support)
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of the projects
- Define project scope, scheduling and resourcing
- Ensure and guarantee that the project is delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Provide risk management and change management expertise
- Collaborate closely with various internal teams such as Global Engineering, Operations, IT, Purchase, Pre-sales and Sales
- Producing progress reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Provide innovative solutions to resolve issues and propose and implement best practices
What you’ll bring
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Technology (Telecommunications preferred)
- 3+ years of relevant experience as a Project Manager
- Solid technical background in 5G/4G connectivity with understanding in some of the following industry areas: telecommunications, manufacturing, mining, refineries, power plants and other process industries…
- Ability to lead project teams, of both internal and external cross-functional partners, without direct management authority
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Comprehensive understanding of project management tools and operational
- PMP / PRINCE II or similar certifications is a plus
- Fluent in Spanish and English, other languages are a plus
