Who We Are:

Founded in 2009, Reformation is a revolutionary lifestyle brand that proves fashion and sustainability can coexist. We combine stylish, vintage-inspired designs with sustainable practices, releasing limited-edition collections for individuals who want to look beautiful and live sustainably. Setting an example for the industry, Reformation remains at the forefront of innovation in sustainable fashion—running the first sustainable factory in Los Angeles, using deadstock and eco fabrics, tracking and sharing the environmental impact of every product, and investing in the people who make this revolution possible. The brand has also established itself as a pioneer in retail innovation, developing an in-store tech concept that brings the best of its online experience to its physical doors.

We are a future focused organization committed to the belief that the problems facing our planet and society can be solved through innovation, common sense and education. Being naked is the #1 most sustainable option. We're #2.

Here at Ref, we put people first. We know that you can't innovate and do cool stuff without having everyone on board. So we work to create a culture where everyone feels like they belong and where their voices are truly valued. We build an inclusive culture together and make a real impact along the way.

Freelance Graphic Designer

We’re seeking a highly organized and creatively driven Freelance Graphic Designer to join our in-house creative team. This role is ideal for someone who has hands-on experience creating elevated, performance-driven digital assets and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You’ll be responsible for designing visual content across a range of digital channels — including email, paid media, e-commerce, social, and video content — helping to shape how customers engage with our brand every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design high-impact creative assets across email marketing, paid social/display, web assets, and landing pages
  • Support the creation of motion graphics and short-form video content for social and digital marketing
  • Execute campaign concepts, seasonal launches, and evergreen brand moments that align with marketing objectives
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e-comm, brand marketing, growth/lifecycle) to deliver assets that are on-strategy, on-time, and on-brand
  • Maintain consistent visual standards and brand guidelines across all formats
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects at once — balancing speed, quality, and feedback
  • Contribute to creative testing (A/B variants) and performance-based design iterations
  • Develop print materials including in-store signage, flyers, catalogs, and other retail collateral across physical and digital spaces
  • Create and maintain decks for internal presentations, marketing strategy meetings, and concept proposals
  • Collaborate with the team to swipe for inspiration, curating concepts from competitors, industry trends, and visual references to support new developments and campaign ideas

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of professional graphic design experience, ideally within fashion, retail, or consumer lifestyle brands
  • Strong portfolio showcasing digital-first design, including email, web, paid media, and social — with bonus points for motion/video work
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and After Effects or Premiere Pro
  • Confident working with Figma
  • Skilled in layout, typography, color theory, and brand storytelling
  • Proven ability to manage time and deadlines independently while working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable receiving and applying feedback from multiple stakeholders
  • Strong experience with print work, packaging, and illustrations

Work Environment & Benefits:

  • Hybrid schedule: 3 days/week in our LA-based office, 2 days remote
  • Be part of a growing brand that values creative excellence, innovation, and collaboration
  • Access to mentorship, and career growth opportunities within a creative-led company culture
  • 3-month, full-time freelance with temp-to-perm opportunity

What We Do

Reformation is a fast-growing mission-based company that proves fashion and sustainability can coexist. Reformation is known for its tech-driven approach to creating an eco-friendly fashion business. We're not only growing our retail footprint but organization-wide at our headquarters, specifically with our Tech teams.

Here at Ref, we put people first. It’s our responsibility to create a safe, healthy, and fair working environment for our teams, and for workers throughout our supply chain. We do so through partnerships with industry groups like the Fair Labor Association, conducting on-site social responsibility audits, and a commitment to ensuring workers have a voice in our organization. We know that you can't innovate and do cool stuff without having everyone on board. So we work to create a culture where everyone feels like they belong and where their voices are truly valued. We build an inclusive culture together, and make a real impact along the way.

We are committed to the belief that the problems facing our planet and society can be solved through innovation, common sense and education. Sustainability is at the core of everything we do—from our factory in Los Angeles to our fabrics, packaging, and retail stores. We’re committed to pushing the industry forward and investing in future-focused solutions, which is why we’re a certified Climate Neutral company and will be Climate Positive by 2025.

Why Work With Us

Reformation puts a focus on building new tools and skills. We encourage growth, new ideas, and collaboration. Whether building new tools, diving into a new technology, working directly with our stakeholders or our tight-knit team provides a culture of success. Sustainability runs deep at Ref and that includes a sustainable work-life balance.
