BHFT is a proprietary algorithmic trading firm. Our team manages the full trading cycle, from software development to creating and coding strategies and algorithms.

Our trading operations cover key exchanges. The firm trades across a broad range of asset classes, including equities, equity derivatives, options, commodity futures, rates futures, etc. We employ a diverse and growing array of algorithmic trading strategies, utilizing both High-Frequency Trading (HFT) and Medium-Frequency Trading (MFT) approaches. Looking ahead, we are expanding into new markets and products. As a dynamic company, we continuously experiment with new markets, tools, and technologies.

We’ve got a team of 200+ professionals, with a strong emphasis on technology—70% are technical specialists in development, infrastructure, testing, and analytics spheres. The remaining part of the team supports our business operations, such as Risks, Compliance, Legal, Operations and more.

Our employees are located all around the world, from the United States to Hong Kong. Although we maintain office spaces, we currently operate as a 100% remote organization.

Job Description

• Providing technical leadership within a small FPGA team

• Leading the design and development of seamless integration for software and external FPGA IP cores;

• Taking architectural oversight of development teams and ensuring alignment with company goals and best practices

• Managing and prioritizing engineering tasks

• Contributing to the hiring, onboarding, and development of top engineering talent

• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate software components seamlessly with FPGA hardware;

• Identify and resolve issues related to FPGA programming and functionality, ensuring the reliability of the overall system;

• Keep abreast of the latest developments in FPGA technology and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the capabilities of our products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in FPGA programming and development, with a strong understanding of hardware/software co-design ;

• Proven ability to manage small teams of up to 4 people;

• Understanding of development life cycle for hardware projects;

• Working experience integrating external IP cores into projects or building comprehensive systems independently on FPGA platforms (large PLDs with 100K+ LEs);

• Proficiency in Verilog, System Verilog, VHDL, or HLS is required;

• Familiarity with FPGA testing methodologies and tools, with a focus on ensuring reliability and performance;

• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment;

• Advanced or Fluent English.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with the trading domain would be a huge advantage

• Basic С/С++ knowledge

• Python scripting
