Design and development of FPGA prototyping methodology for high-performance CPUs powering industry-leading AI/ML architectures. This role requires a strong technical background and a problem-solving mindset. The entire FPGA-based prototyping infrastructure is being developed from scratch, providing an opportunity to make a significant impact on bringing Tenstorrent’s products to market.

This role is hybrid, based out of Austin, TX.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop prototyping infrastructure from the ground up, leveraging commercial FPGA prototyping solutions.
  • Build and integrate hardware components for prototyping.
  • Create prototyping-focused test plans and deploy workloads ranging from firmware to full-system applications for functional and performance validation.
  • Optimize prototype performance in collaboration with design teams and vendors.
  • Develop automation flows for building and deployment on FPGA platforms.


Experience & Qualifications:

  • BS/MS/PhD in EE/ECE/CE/CS with at least 5 years of industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of hardware verification methodologies and techniques, including prototyping, simulation, and debug.
  • Hands-on experience with HAPS FPGA prototyping platforms or similar.
  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog, scripting, and automation
  • Experience using debug tools and waveform viewers.


Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
