We are seeking a Senior Associate, Procurement Analyst to join our FP&A team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for proactively creating and analyzing financial data to directly drive margin improvement and add valuable insights to support firm leadership with managing firmwide expenses and spending. This role requires a desire to analyze the business through data, a passion to be curious, and the courage to story tell with numbers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyze spend data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance and compliance.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and trends.
  • Create and maintain procurement reports and dashboards.
  • Participate in cross-departmental meetings to align procurement strategies with Firm goals.
  • Ensure spending requests align with budgets.
  • Use software tools to streamline processes and enhance data analysis.
  • Develop and manage operating expense forecasts by department, working closely with department heads to understand and project future needs.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of departmental operating expenses, ensuring alignment with budget targets and company goals.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis by comparing actual results to forecasted and budgeted figures, identifying key drivers of differences.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc reports on operating expenses and cash flow for senior management, highlighting trends, variances, and actionable insights.
  • Own the annual corporate expense budgeting process by preparing and presenting expense data, forecasts, and variance insights. Reforecast on a quarterly basis.
  • Work closely with finance, accounting, and department leads to understand business needs, gather inputs for forecasting, and align cash flow strategies with overall financial goals.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve processes related to expense tracking, variance analysis, and cash flow management, leveraging technology to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work closely with Treasury function to maintain detailed short- and long-term cash flow forecasts, ensuring accurate projections of inflows and outflows based on operational needs and strategic priorities.
  • Monitor cash positions regularly to ensure adequate liquidity for business operations, working capital needs, and strategic investments. Recommend actions to optimize cash flow and manage cash balances effectively.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested by the CFO, the finance team, and the business leaders.
  • Be a driver or change agent.

  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions without needing extensive guidance or direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, anticipate challenges, and drive positive change within their scope of work and beyond.
  • Proven track record of thriving in environments that require high levels of autonomy and initiative.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive impactful outcomes with minimal oversight.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or similar roles, preferably in a CPA firm or a private equity-backed company.
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial reporting tools.
  • Experience with Workday, Power BI, and Hubspot systems is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to explain analyses to senior leadership and business partners.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize competing demands.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Results-oriented with a process improvement and growth mindset.
  • Strong financial management background and success working with a highly competent and innovative executive team.
