About the role

Passionate about financial analysis and reporting? Your next role will support the finance team in various tasks, including financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic analysis. We’re on the lookout for a focused FP&A Analyst who will oversee and manage the long-term financial planning and modeling for the company based in our Irvine or New York office.

What you’ll be doing

As part of the Finance team, you’ll help to create detailed and well-structured board papers and long-term plan modeling for each of the company’s business units. It’s a role with a lot of variety, and day-to-day, you’ll mainly be involved with:

  • Responsible for maintaining and updating financial forecast models, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and all supporting materials and databases
  • Providing detailed financial modelling and analysis for US-based Boldyn Networks’ Long-term Plan including existing business and M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions)
  • Prepare high quality, concise and timely reporting to Management, the Board and Executive teams, including but not limited to, Variance Analyses, KPI’s, Forecasts, Cash Flow, Financial Modelling, Strategic Planning and Cost Benefit Analysis, etc
  • Enhancing accuracy in long-term plan models for each of the company's business units
  • Collaborating with different departments to collect and consolidate financial information
  • Creating detailed and well-structured support for Board papers based on financial analysis
  • Managing the bi-annual valuation processes and consolidating the US-based forecasts
  • Finance Business Partnering to support the corporate functions in managing their spend budgets, including budget vs actual analysis, headcount reporting, quarterly expense forecast updates, trends, and special projects to enable executives to take actions to improve business performance
  • Providing support in ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as needed, including but not limited to assessment of capital structure, refinancing activities, etc.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • At least 3-4 years working in investment banking, a Big 4 firm or similar finance/commercial/M&A background
  • Advanced financial modelling techniques and methodologies using Excel. Experience building 3-way models (i.e., integrated income statement, balance sheet, cash flows), business case evaluations, sensitivity analyses, etc.
  • Commercial industry experience would be ideal.
  • Knowledge of accounting concepts and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Ideally CFA, (minimum Level 1 of the CFA program) or working towards it
