The Forecast Analyst will be responsible for developing accurate forecasts and providing actionable insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Location: Milpitas, CA

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and economic indicators to develop accurate forecasts.
  • Create and maintain forecasting models using appropriate tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain, to gather relevant data and insights.
  • Monitor and evaluate forecast accuracy, identifying areas for improvement and making necessary adjustments.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on forecast performance, trends, and key findings to stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities based on forecast analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Support strategic planning and decision-making processes with data-driven insights.
  • Develop and implement best practices for forecasting processes and methodologies.
  • Conduct scenario analysis to assess the impact of different variables on forecasts.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and advancements in forecasting techniques.
  • Assist in the development of long-term business plans and financial projections.
  • Provide training and support to team members on forecasting tools and techniques.



Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Business, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 3-5 Years of proven experience as a Forecast Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS) and advanced Excel skills (Formulas / pivots / Vlookup / macros)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and their application in forecasting.
  • Familiarity with database management and SQL.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Understanding of financial modeling and budgeting processes.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Experience with demand planning and inventory management.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific forecasting techniques and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with forecasting.
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and methodologies
